Timetable of events for the Now Scotland day of action, Saturday 1 May 2021

Written by on 29 April 2021

Now Scotland is the Scottish independence movement’s grassroots democratic subscription membership organisation. It is only a couple of months old and strictly non-partisan. As the current electoral campaign reaches its climax, it is clear to see how this new organisation represents a much-needed unifying development for Yessers across Scotland and beyond. These physical actions are combined with a call to mass action online with a 6pm twitter storm and fascinating zoom rally and panel discussion from 7-9pm with speakers from Ireland, Wales, Cornwall and Scotland discussing “Making the case for self determination, dissolving the British State“.

Saturday 1 May 2021 sees Now Scotland members take their first steps to be visible “on the ground” as Scotland enters a new phase in the pandemic with travel restrictions eased and the vaccination rollout progressing well. There will be a number of small socially distanced static protests and gatherings right across the country to mark a day of action for independence, just days before the Scottish electorate go to the polls in an historic parliamentary election.

Here is the full timetable of events planned throughout Saturday’s Day Of Action:
